Great new resources available on NCST Web site

If you haven’t visited the NCST Web site recently, we’ve posted a number of new pages offering new and updated details of projects that are under way to advance transportation options for older adults:

• Projects & Funding, illustrating the Center’s strong commitment to promoting innovations at the community level. Various NCST-sponsored state and community initiatives are highlighted.
• Senior Transportation Demonstration Grants, about grantees increasing coordination of transportation services for older adults in their communities through connections forged between aging and transportation providers. Examples include creative use of technology, new volunteer options, and alternative funding mechanisms.
• The NCST Library now offers “Rides Change Lives: Innovations in Senior Transportation.” This 12-page booklet describes the innovative approaches of the Center’s premier group of Demonstration Grantees.
• Senior Transportation Technical Assistance Grants, showcases the work of 11 organizations receiving $10,000 awards along with tailored technical assistance.

The National Center on Senior Transportation is funded through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Transit Administration and with guidance from the U.S. Administration on Aging. NCST is administered by Easter Seals Inc. in partnership with the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging (n4a).
